You really have to take advice from me. First of all the thing is small but if you have a hard case, you have to remove it, otherwise it won’t fit. Second, If the mic is plugged in, there is no volume. In order to hear what you recorded for pretty much every app except for talking carl (GREAT APP!!!) . Third, it comes with a cap, so when you put the cap on, it looks like a HUGE black pill. Finally, I was very suprised when it came about 3 days after i purchase it.
If you buy this for under 4 bucks!

This little guy sure does the job. The recorded sound quality is amazing and can be used as a listening device for you future spies out there. Although, you cannot use the external speakers (or the headphones obviously) while the microphone is in, so basically you need to take it out of the headphone jack when you’re not using it. Also, the cap does not have any place to be attached to when you take the microphone out of it, so you essentially just have to hold it in your hand when the microphone is in use. Trust me, it’s a small cap so it can be lost pretty easily. The first few times I used it, it wouldn’t work but eventually this stopped happening. Besides that, it’s a pretty good product and I guarantee you will not find an iPod/iPhone microphone (that works at least) cheaper than this one.
In my opinion, if you’re looking for a microphone for your iPod and such, this would be the product for you.
