I bought this item off of Craigslist, NEW in UNOPENED box. It worked fine, sounded great, then it suddenly died less than 2 days later. The battery was fully charged. One song ended, the next one didn’t start, so I looked at it and realized that it had shut off. Now it won’t power up at all. I tried hooking it up to my computer, and nothing.
It’s a piece of crap. Don’t waste your money.

Had these for about a month.
Pros:
- It’s small: 1-3/4″ square.
Cons:
- The Fast-forward/reverse buttons. I use it for language learning so I like to rewind frequently. If you hold the button down, it starts out slow, which is good. But, after a few seconds, it starts to speed up. A few seconds more… WHAM! It’s too far back. !@#$*! Now I gotta go forward or accept it where it is. Wasted time. Frustrating.
Sounds: The earphones are your basic stuff. If you press them into your ears you get better sounds. I had Sennheisers noise cancellations headphones in the past. They worked great, so I ordered them again as replacements.

I’ve using it for several months now when I work out. I’m very pleased with it. My wife also has a Phillips MP3 player, different style. I like mine better because it has a lanyard and just pushing the sides of the screen is easier than the smaller control buttons she has on hers. They both sound good.
I noticed lately I have purchased a lot of Phillips products, a small stereo, two matching 47′ LCD TV’s, and wired headphones for the TVs. I have been pleased with all of the products.
